This ten-week part-time course is suitable for people wanting to start their career in hospitality. It is also a great ‘pre-trade’ foundation course for those considering an apprenticeship in commercial cookery.
The course covers basic food preparation and knife skills, food hygiene, workplace health and safety and much more. The practical classes are held within our on-campus state of the art training kitchens. Included in the course is a two-week placement at our partner venues. Many of the students who successfully finish this program are offered employment and apprenticeships at some of Brisbane’s top restaurants and hotels.
